the 100 rotation: share your list of 100 workouts

Starting the thread. I'll post my list later - i came up with a list of 100, 30-minute weights/bodyweight/bands workouts.

i plan to create a cardio list of 30 minute workouts.

note: my criteria is 30 minutes - you can describe whatever criteria you used to build your list.

Let the list building begin!!

i'll resume this list, but since i already began the rotation, i'll share with you what i did yesterday & today:

1) BSS1 Body Sculpt Blaster w/ Nancy Tucker
2) BSS1 Super Cardio Sculpt w/Nancy (technically, this is 44 min and more AWT than weights only, but i had extra time today - Saturday; since i had my BSS1 add-on's out, i figured i'd do this one, and i like Nancy)


the rest of my list will get posted later, and i promise, they're more in line with my criteria of 30 min weight routines.

sometimes my choices were UB only or LB only, so i picked something complementary the next day. for example, if i did LB on one day, i did UB the next, and vice versa.

also, i didn't select any barre, yoga, or pilates toning, and tried to select weight training versions.

Hi Jeannine-

So much stuff happened over the weekend that I did not do much work on my list but I am going to work on it this week. Did you include dedicated stretching workouts? I did the P90X stretch workout and my body really needed it.

no - good point. i have enough yoga and stretch workouts to make a separate 100-yoga rotation. but the thing i like about using "30 minutes" as the criteria, you can do yoga as your second workout, even if it's just 10 minutes.

Hi Jennine

Thanks for the list. I realized that I have so many workouts that it is a daunting task to try to list all the 30 minute workouts that I have. I have not been feeling well this week so I have not worked out and have spent ,most of the time in bed. The workouts that I own that easily come to mind are:

1. KCM 30MTF I have all of her workouts

2. P90X3

3. T25

I still have to go through my Cathe collection and check all of the pre mixes.

Hi - the cathe's i own that have pre-mixes - - - the minimum is 45 min. correct me if i am wrong.

so when i discovered that, i started a separate list of the 45 min workouts. most weekends, i am able to work out for >30 minutes, and so i could go to that list.

when i did my "master inventory" list, i used Excel.

from there, i first listed my instructors, and then i wrote down the workouts i owned for each instructor. it went by pretty quick.

i did this while just sitting at the computer - i DIDN'T open my boxes of DVDs - i simply did it from memory. i'm sure we can all do that because we spend so much time acquiring and discussing the DVDs here on VF!!!!

and as far as how many minutes for segments/premixes, i consulted collagevideo.com or looked it up on Amazon.

if i tried doing it "the manual way" i.e., opening the boxes and writing it, it would take too long.

i did said inventory sometime last year because i lost my other one, and i was trying to remember which Jari workouts i owned since the titles sound so similar.

now..... when i built this rotation, i could consult the inventory list.

Yes, 45 minutes is correct. Can you share your blank master of your Excel shed? I can work with Excel once it is formatted but can not begin a new project. I need to learn to use excel from scratch.

This virus is doing me in. I can't wait to feel normal again.

Late to the party! Can't believe I only just found this thread! Here is my 100 list. The theme is 20-minute workouts.

I have many more than these that I compiled by mixing various sections; I have a 5-minute Leslie warm-up that I have used to make over 50 20-minute Leslie workouts; I rip everything to my computer so it it really easy to do this. But for purposes of this rotation, I have tried to keep the 100 workouts limited to routines which are taken from one DVD.

The exception is the Denise Austin walks, which round out the 15 minutes with a five-minute toning section from her DVD designed for this purpose. Other than that one thing, all of the workouts below are each taken off one DVD.

Hey Joanna - thanks for adding your "100" list of 20 minute workouts.

i finally got around to compiling a list of stretching/yoga workouts that take 30 minutes. i learned a lot about my collection when doing this. some takeaways:
  • certain discs have quite a few 30-min options
  • it's easier to find a 20 or even a 40 minute yoga/stretch workout rather than a 30 minute one
  • there's not a lot of athletic stretch workouts
some criteria i followed:
  • i focused solely on stretching or yoga - no pilates or barre (i'll work on another list for that).
  • avoided cobbling together workouts from different discs - tried to stick with 1 disc if i had to combine segments
  • in very rare cases, i truncated a 40 min workout (freytag, for example)
  • i stuck to just what was in my collection - your collection might have more 30 minute options
  • i expected Kathy Smith to have more yoga practices that were shorter! instead, i realized Denise Austin has quite a few short yoga practices in her offerings.
