Speaking of Cathe….

My sister was a huge Cathe fan (still is!) back in the VHS days. Unfortunately, she went through a series of bad relationships and had to part with her VHS collection. I’ve since enabled her and she is replenishing her Cathe collection with dvds.

We were discussing the old workouts and she was saying that Cathe had an old VHS workout called the Wedding workout or something to that effect. She said it was one of her favorite workouts, but she can’t find it anywhere and not even on Cathe’s site.

I just looked it up and it was called How to Get in Shape for Your Wedding.

Does anyone else recall this workout? Has it been renamed or lost to time?

I don't believe this was ever released on dvd unfortunately. It's probably out there in Youtubeland or on eBay on VHS.

Yes, I remember that workout. Maybe once Cathe was no longer married, it went out of fashion?

IIRC, she was a lot less professional in that workout and maybe that's why it wasn't put on DVD. I don't mean that in a judgmental way at all, but I think she was kind of silly and more chatty than in her other earlier videos. I remember at one point she said something like, "Now I'm getting corny" and many people heard it as "Now I'm getting horny."

I have the wedding video as well. I always thought it didn’t make it to DVD because it had video of Cathe’s wedding, and since she is divorced, it may have been uncomfortable for her. It does seem pretty dated, though, as I remember rolling my eyes a time or two. I will have to dig this one out and do it again.

Haha I don’t recall the corny/horny comment, or if I heard it, I didn’t hear it the way some people apparently did.

Now I will be listening for it, of course.

I still have the VHS. I like to do it sometimes when I'm not feeling like a hard workout. It still produces a sweat, but it's on the light side. I haven't done it in ages though b/c there's so many good w/o to choose from.

Yes, she was kind of Corny, but it was 'all in good fun' as Cathe put it. It's a shame that it didn't make it to one of her classic DVD compilations.
