Leslie’s 5 Day Slim Down

I usually prefer Leslie’s workouts where she has background exercisers, but I like the Speed Walk on this DVD. It’s a little different because there are 6 songs in this 12-minute mile and it seems to go by even faster. I don’t think I have any other workouts of hers where the songs are only 2 minutes long.

It sounds good!! I saw this one not too long ago from a Canadian seller, I didn't buy, now I am regretting it!

I've had this one for years. It's one of my favorite Leslie workouts. She's solo (which I prefer) and the walks are a good pace for when I want to use my step.

I don't think I've ever noticed the number of songs!

I have never used my step with Leslie, do you do your own thing? And just have her for company? I have used my step for the PowerFit Harmony cardio workouts, instead of the band on the floor. The only solo Leslie I have is her Walk it off and tone it up dvd, I like it!

I often use my step with walking workouts. I usually do my own thing, "up up, down down", nothing fancy. Don't forget to "tap switch" once in a while V-step, horseshoe, sidestep over the step all work. Some moves transfer very well to step, others require a little creativity. Sometimes I'll use light hand weights.

And yes, I use Leslie for company and to keep the pace. Sometimes it doesn't look like I'm even doing the same workout, but in my mind I know we'll end up in the same place. Some fast miles are too fast for the step, so the moderately paced walks are good.

The Firm Wave is really good with walking workouts. I also use my JumpSport Rebounder for walking workouts. A bosu is also pretty good.

regarding using a Step and the tempo, if the beat is too fast, you can slow down by taking a step every 2 or 4 beats.
