If you do not wish for your user name to appear on the list of users currently online, make yourself "invisible" by clicking on the "profile" button up top, then "Edit Options" and make sure the invisible option is selected.

If you wish to hide your email address so it doesn't appear on public member lists, change that setting in your options screen as described above. Note that if someone clicks on a link in the Forum to send you email, they will be sending it through a form that hides your email address. The sender's email address will appear on the sender's email message to you.

On that same Options page, you can also prevent anyone from sending you a private message or email.
