DVD Changers (again)

I'm getting a DVD changer for the holidays and i wanted to check to see if the one i'm getting is VF-compatable. It's the panasonic DVD-CV51.

Does anyone have this one? Can you program workouts?

Thanks,
imani

The Panasonic isn't programmable

A Vfer bought the Panasonic and ended up taking it back because it wasn't programmable across DVDs. The only 2 companies with DVD changers that can be programmed across DVDs that I know of are Pioneer and Sony. I can never remember the model number on the Sony, but the Pioneers are either the 503 or the 603. Good luck! You'll LOVE having a DVD player!

The Sony model number is 660.

This model is getting hard to find, though. Perhaps Sony has a newer model out now, but I wouldn't know if it's programmable.

I played it safe and ordered the Pioneer 503, which is also getting hard to find (I got ordered mine from costco.com, and recieved it today ). The 503 has been discontinued, and replaced with the 603, which has progressive scanning and a nicer remote control. I'm not sure if the 603 is also programmable.

Thumbs up The Pioneer 603 is programmable as well

It's very similar to the 503, but the remote is universal and glows in the dark.

I did a search for the Sony DVPC660 at Bizrate.com, and found 4 stores that carry it for between $249 and $349. I'm going to try to post a link to my search:

http://www.bizrate.com/marketplace/s...0%20&de_id=200

I hope that works!

Dealcatcher also found some. Here's the link to that search:

http://dealcatcher.pricegrabber.com/...969226f97f3a6e

The advantage to dealcatcher is that they tell you how much shipping is as well. You just have to enter your zip code.

I hope these help!

Thanks Erin and Colleen

I've passed the #s on to my mom but she said she already got the panasonic model. She said the manual explains how to program dvds but i think she's reading it wrong.

Oh well, Its the thought that counts. I can always exchange it later. I'm just excited that I have DVD capabilities!!! Off to cathe's site to order some dvds....
