The Global Fat Scale

The Global Fat Scale, developed by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, puts your BMI in a global perspective.

Before I lost weight, I had a higher BMI than 98% of females in my age group in Australia, and 99% of women my age in the world!

And I most resembled someone from Tonga! (hangs head in shame).

Now my BMI is lower than 79% of females in my age group (45-59) in Australia.

Thanks for posting this. My DH and I both did it and found it very interesting. Exercise pays off, we're both doing pretty.

Wow, really interesting - thanks for posting this!
My family are all below average, both domestically and internationally. And I am below average in the US, which I find sad.

I guess I am OK!! Although I entered my weight in KG initially and was a little surprised at the results. I have a lower BMI than 86% in the US in my age group, and lower than 62% globally.

Thanks RedPanda - that was fun to play with numbers.

Now I'm below 66% of Aust. woman my age group; but above 58% globally. I'm most like Oman.
