My husband had a suggestion: Richard Simmons Does Tae Bo. Could you even imagine him and Billy Blanks in the same room? LOL!

cat lovers workout exists!!!
I don't know how to insert text the right way, but the original post was:
The CAT LOVERS Workout. Let your furry friends help you develop feline flexibility, leaping legs, and the ultimate Cat Tail pose. Use one kitty in each hand for overhead presses, or in place of oof balls. As your strength increases, just feed them more Fancy Feast. Well, I'm here to tell you that this does exist. I kid you not. Its in a book called Cat Flexing. Someone sent it to me to prove that it is real! Its honestly one of the funniest things I've ever seen. You should just see the expression on the cat's face in some of the pics. |

"Catflexing"
A friend gave me that book also. It's "A Catlover's Guide to Weight Training, Aerobics & Stretching." by Stephanie Jackson. Pictures and detailed instructions for each exercise are included.
Some exercise are cat pullovers, catbell press, kiitty pushups (on your knees with cat on back) and cat pushups on your toes, tricep cat extensions. Unfortunately, neither of my kitties are quite mellow enough for these - I would be doing the Ouch get your claws outta me plyos. |

I am thankful I wasn't reading this at work. I laughed through the whole thing. I wish I had some wit (but I'm pretty wit-less)... at least I can appreciate it. Love the cat workout, feed 'em Fancy Feast which is the only canned food my fur balls will eat!
I've heard of the catflex workout, there was a picture of someone in one of the fitness mags doing bicep curls with her cat. My Belle (aka the "meatball") would be a good candidate for that. Barbara P |
