Guided meditation for sleep, with music, by Bodhipaksa. Music is lovely, as is Bodhipaksa's soft Scottish accent.
These next three fall under the umbrella of "meditation"--they can be used for deep relaxation or sleep, but are not guided meditations. I was a little hesitant to post these because they aren't really "mainstream", but they are all quite beautiful and moving in their own different way: 3 minute clip of Snatam Kaur's recitation of "Re Man Eh Bidh Jog Kamao". The best thing she's ever done IMO. There are many recordings of her singing this mantra on YouTube; to me, these cannot hold a candle to her recitation of this mantra. There is not a YouTube recording of this whole recitation (32 minutes)--the half hour version of this mantra on YouTube by Snatam is sung. You can get the recitation on MP3 from the Spirit Voyage website. I love to just lay quietly and listen to the whole thing. It is quite hypnotic. "Toon Mera Pita" by Mata Mandir Singh. Click on "listen" on the first track to hear it. This is just a clip--I cannot find a recording of Mata Mandir Singh's version of this mantra anywhere on YouTube. I am so very very fond of this, probably because in the first class in my kundalini yoga teacher training, this recording was used for our deep relaxation after the first yoga set we did. It really touched my heart and made me cry. You can get the MP3 from Spirit Voyage--it's on the link I provided to the song. "Guru Paduka Stotram"--I stumbled across this recording used as the soundtrack to another YouTube video and just loved it. You have to like Indian music, which is an acquired taste, but I think this is a gentle and lovely recording. There is a video of this same recording which has been looped and is an hour long; unfortunately it is interrupted every 20 minutes or so by ads.
