Last night I finished The People We Keep. I picked it up b/c it was set in Ithaca NY (home of Cornell University), but only a small part of the book was there, and it was kind of all over the place. The main character kept moving rather than getting settled, and I felt like I could never settle into the story.
Next up is Ms. Demeanor. It was one of the books recommended by Judy Blume (on display when I visited her bookstore in Key West this summer), so I am feeling optimistic about it!

Got a big stack of new novels from a local library used book sale earlier this week. Before I get to those, I need to read a library book, Less is Lost (follow up to Less). After that, I'll probably read The Chaperone, one of my book sale books, because it looks like something my mom would also enjoy, so I want to read it before I see her at Thanksgiving. Funny thing - the author is Laura Moriarity, but I originally picked it up because I thought it was author Liane Moriarity! Still, I do think I will like it.
