I noticed there wasn’t much mobility/stretching in the Stamina workout. My guess is that she expects us to add it in separately, or do a longer mobility on a different day. I remember when Lift and Shift came out, it didn’t have stretching at the end. In the program guide, she said stretching was limited because some research has shown that stretching immediately after a strength training session may not be optimal for building strength but may be most beneficial well after a strength session is completed. Stretching at the end of the day can be relaxing so she recommends that, or adding a separate stretch if you wish. If’s possible that she’s doing something similar in this program.
That's why it's so surprising when she says strength training isn't enjoyable or Debbie can't wait for the workout to be over.

I'm fine with not doing old-school stretching at the end of a workout, but I think there's a difference between stretching and mobility, although Jessica seems to use the two terms interchangeably.

Oh I see. I thought you were talking about the new January schedule Strengthen workouts. Jessica does these workouts by herself. I think the workouts with Debbie are separate, and not part of this week’s Strengthen schedule.

I’ve only done one strength workout with Debbie, the total body. I didn’t notice any comments, but I don’t always pay attention.

After thinking about it, I agree. I would prefer a little more mobility moves at the end. Condition strength workouts had a nice amount of mobility moves at the end of the workout, but Strengthen is different. My guess is that they both have a different focus, and she wants to include more strength moves in Strengthen, and keep the workout time shorter.

I use her shorter 10 minute mobility workouts sometimes, usually before bed. Once a week I do a longer workout. That works for me pretty well.

Yay!

Regarding mobility moves at the end of the workout, it varies. Some have more than others. So far, around 1, 3 or 5 minutes.

Thank you for the update!

I am wondering if I shouldn't start with Build and Condition first....

I took it easy in November/December and then ending up catching a mild case of COVID at the end of December. So maybe I need to build up to this!

I keep telling myself to do that, but then I can't wait to try the new, shiny workouts! I tell myself to just "rehearse" it, go light.

Donna, this is definitely a more advanced rotation. I think it might be more intense than Strong and Centered.

Maybe it’s not more advanced, but it’s at least similar!
