I did a comparison of the Skogg System & RKS. I have Skogg (love it), and am interested in RKS (wanted details to see if worth getting).

Here's my comparison (someone w/ RKS can correct me if anything is wrong/off):

Skogg System

All workouts incorporate the 6 primary exercise but w/ different sequencing, some based on rep numbers (Ladders & Flow), others based on time (Roots & Intervals).

There should have been an option for "undecided" or "I don't know." I really like the Skogg System, and don't have RKS, and wouldn't vote on which to buy/recommend w/out having tried both (so I did not vote).

I understood the meaning/content of your original post & #3 (I did read them), just stating what I thought & why I did not vote. It's your poll, w/ your prompts/wording, I realize I should create my own if I don't like/agree w/ yours, but I'm not interested in doing that. Would be interesting to see if people who voted one way, have had a change of heart/mind or still stand by their original vote.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! So, you don't get bored with Skogg since you are only doing 6 moves? From your description, I think RKS sounds a little more like something I'd like. Hmmm... I was holding off on both but now I want to look into them more!

I had used Skogg workouts for about 3 weeks (3-4 per week) mixed w/ other workouts and did not find the workouts repetitive or that I developed a dread factor for them. The workouts on each disc are all sequenced a bit differently and there's limited rest & plenty of work (even in the shorter duration of time workouts, you work hard), so not much time to feel bored, but others may feel differently. I mostly use Lauren B.'s KB workouts and Iron Core 3, so I'm glad I bought Skogg to mix things up. I have not been using Skogg lately due to a wonky shoulder, but will start using them again (was not injured from using Skogg workouts).

It seems like both Skogg & RKS have their pros & cons, and based on people's preferences & needs, one may be better suited for them (or neither one). Good luck on whatever you decide on.

I also did not vote.

I think it depends on what kind of experience a person has with kettlebell's and their history, as to which system to get.

If someone is totally new to kettlebell's, I would get Skogg first. Even though his price seems a little higher for only four DVDs, plus the instructional DVD, you are paying for Michael's expertise and knowledge. He does a better job of breaking down the six basic moves, if you need the kettlebell basics.

After a person has had a bit of instruction under their belt (whether they've used Skogg or other Kettlebell videos) then, Reinhardt's Kettlebell system is also a good. The variety is excellent, as is the beautiful visuals (skyline and people.) RKS has the fun factor that is missing a bit from Skogg. Skogg has a genuine personality and I like him very much, but I agee with a number of people who have already stated that RKS is just more fun (but not if you are going to hurt yourself!)

Owen's voiceover cues are nice to have, though. He allows me to constantly be thinking about my form. Though, not being able to see him up close, doesn't help someone who is new to this form of exercise.

So, if I could vote for both (and money was no factor) that's how I'd do it. I know this wasn't Cali's intent, though. I agree with much of what cardiomama has said.
