Am I hearing voices again?

Martha, I'm glad that you found Jump to It and that you think it's superb! It really is a fantastic workout. Yes, definitely dated but well worth ignoring. I too wore a leotard, leg warmers and headband in the 80s.

These are the videos that I've used for the rebounder:

Rebound tapes:
Jump to It
Air-O-bics (I've given this one to Barb)
Air-O-bics II
Keep on Rebounding
Urban Rebounding
Champion Rebounding

Non Rebound tapes:
Leslie's Too Busy to Workout
Leslie's Walk/Jog
the second hi/lo segment in Cathe's Circuit Max
in the past, some of the Firm's hi/lo segments

I also think that since the music in Leslie's AB workout tapes will be great on the rebounder since they have a faster tempo.

I do almost everything on it

about the only cardio I don't adapt to the Rebounder is NIA
BTW the best part of AirObics (thanks Debbie ) was in the beginning when she was just reviewing different ways to have a health bounce on the rebounder:
just doing the bouncey thing with feet staying in contact with the rebounder, then just shifting the weight from leg to leg (or side to side) with keeping the feet on the rebounder then alternating toe to heel steps on the rebounder without removing the whole foot from the rebounder
This is a great warmup and a nice gentle way of beginning any workout.

I have the Reboundair, which I purchased from Ebay. I love it!! It is so wonderful to be able to do high impact tapes without pain. I think mine is around 7 inches off the ground and it has a soft bounce so I don't go too high.

Some of the tapes I use it with are:

Leslie Sansone Walk & Jog
Cardio Burn (floor parts)
Super Cardio (high impact floor sections)
Boxing Body TKO
Firm Maximum Body Shaping (plyo/kickboxing section)

The next tapes I plan to try using it with are the high impact floor sections in Circuit Max and Firm Power Cardio. I could never consider these last two tapes before I purchased my Reboundair.

It's official

Leslie Sansone's AB workout tapes work perfectly on the rebounder. It has the perfect tempo for a custom fit on the rebounder.

Leslie can definitely do a rebounder workout.

Better late than never

Well I heard about Rebounding in a fitness magazine years ago and I remembered when I was a kid my best friend's mom did it.

Originally to be sure I liked Rebounding I got a Weider $30 one at Sears...I HATED this thing, but liked the workout (at the time I had Keep on Rebounding and Urban Rebounding)...so I got a Needak from Ebay George, half fold model.

Generally I use strictly rebounding videos. I tried Aerojump with it but it was boring for me. Leslie is kind of fun on there, but again because I have done her tapes so much during pregnancy I think I was kind of burnt out. Tae Bo on there is fun, but kind of tricky.

I guess my rebounder is 8-10 inches off the floor? I don't know. But like everyone else has said it's jumping down, not jumping high.

Hope that helps!

Question Hi all! I'm new here - may I join in?

I recently received a Needak rebounder and love it. I have been reading the rebounding threads and have a few questions. Currently, the only two rebounding videos I have are Champion Rebounding and the original Urban Rebounding. I really enjoy Champion Rebounding (the pace is challenging, but fun). I find that Urban Rebounding moves a bit too fast for me. I am probably at a high intermediate level.

How do the new Urban Rebounding tapes compare to the original and where do you buy them?

Which Leslie Sansone tapes translate the best to the rebounder? I have never tried her tapes. I just saw one in Target called Walk Away the Pounds, 2-mile fat burner. Would this work?

Would someone be kind enough to rate the rebounding videos in terms of intensity and fun factor?

Thanks for your help. I look forward to hearing your responses.

Cindy

New rebounding tapes

IMO the newer tapes are slower and easier to learn, plus there's a few less moves. I would say the original is the most advanced out of the three.

for Leslie Sansone on the rebounder

try Too Busy to Workout available at half.com
http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cg...domain_id=1877
it is high impact on the floor but fun on the rebounder
her walk Away the Pounds are ok but not as much fun on the rebounder

Thanks, guys. Anyone else have thoughts?

I'll check out Leslie's Too Busy to Workout.

Where do you buy the new UR videos? I don't see them on the website. Any other suggestions?

Cindy,
The new UR tapes only seem to be available through the distributor (I got mine at the ECA fitness conference in March). Do a search on david Wells to find the info. he was offering them for $35 plus shipping. I found them easier than the original, but more fun (better music, less repetitive and the instructor was more engaging). Champion Rebounding, all the Urban Rebounding tapes, and AirObics II were the most fun for me.

I also did the drills section of Cathe's Cardio Kicks on the rebounder, that was another great workout. Deanna did Ropenastics and liked it, but the moves were too fast for me.
