Anna, I have met my goal too; I'm not sure how I surpassed the first year of the pandemic!

[QUOTE=LindaL;2948469]I am making my way through Joanna Schaffhausen's Ellery Hathaway series. It is so good. The characters are really superb and while the plot covers some gruesome topics, it doesn't seem overly violent or disturbing to me.
I love this series too! Like everything else I'm behind on this series. I haven't read the last two and she's coming out with her fifth book next month. |

No problem. They are hit and miss for me as well. I gave up on her last book quickly. I may give it another try.

I just started the short story collection A Lot Like Christmas by Connie Willis that's all Christmas, all the time.
The ones I've read so far are fairly light/glib. Edit: Stayed up too late reading this one, and wound up skipping a few that just didn't grab me. Still only about halfway through.

I appreciate you both giving it thought for me and letting me know that you've found her books to be hit or miss.
