Joyce Randolph who played Trixie on the Honeymooners passed away at 99.

I was saddened by Joyce Randolph's death. The Honeymooners was part of the fabric of my childhood - and we still watch it on DVD on occasion.

It was too bad for Joyce that she couldn't find acting work after The Honeymooners. They said she was too typecast as Trixie.

I think this will only resonant with Canadians, but Nerene Virgin - Jodie from Today’s Special - has died at the age of 76. That show was such a big part of my childhood, as I suspect it was for so many Canadians in my age group.

Radio and television commentator Charles Osgood has passed away at the age of 91. I thought he was really good on CBS Sunday Morning, although I initially was worried when he took over for Charles Kuralt because I thought Charles Kuralt did such a good job, but I think Charles Osgood filled those shoes nicely and I will always remember the bow ties he wore. RIP

I was a fan of his radio segments as well, and especially of his tenure on CBS Sunday Morning.

I rarely watch CBSSM anymore...since he retired, the stories somehow haven't interested me that much.
