Let me know what you think of it. I wasn't alive during that period, but from what I learned in school and picked up in (accurately portrayed) movies, the author's dialog and tone throughout the book is spot on, to the point that I almost cried in some areas. Unbelievable the atrocities humans can afflict on one another!

I haven't posted on this thread in a while even though I've been reading quite a bit. I just finished The Book of Lost and Found by Lucy Folely. I enjoy her writing, and I liked this one quite a bit.

The books before that was A Wanted Man by Lee Child. I had just finished watching Reacher on Prime, and I needed a Jack Reacher book fix. I love these books for pure escape. The problem is, I haven't read them in order, and sometimes based on the synopsis I can't be sure whether I've read the book. They are often similar in plot.

Another recent read was Miss Moriarity I Presume by Sherry Thomas. It's book 6 in the Lady Sherlock series. This series is fun. I've enjoyed the books so far.

I'm almost finished The Dressmaker, which has an interesting premise about woman who survives the Titanic sinking. I also recently started reading Siddhartha.

ETA: corrected the name of the first book above.

This sounds like something I would really like! Titanic stories are always fascinating to me, especially when they are historically accurate. Yet another book to add to my list! Thanks

Oops, right book, wrong title! It's actually called The Dressmaker (I corrected it above). It's been enjoyable for a quick light read. I believe the basic info about the Titanic is historically accurate with some added fictional characters thrown in.

I think you'll like what happens to the (bad) men in the end.
