It's supposed to be very good! I have it coming from the library soon. Hope you enjoy it.

Just getting started on Fixing my Gaze by Susan Barry. She's the "Stereo Sue" referenced by Oliver Sacks in an article in the New Yorker, if anyone is curious: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2.../19/stereo-sue

I've been having some issues with double vision and trying to figure out what to do about it, so I'm intrigued to hear how she managed to cure her own vision issues.

Pat, that was one of my least-favorite King books; the story just felt too familiar (there was an 80s Twilight Zone based on a similar concept). I also didn't like his Elevation, so for anyone who enjoyed those 2 books, definitely don't take my advice!

That definitely sounds like an interesting read! Maybe we should have a "If all VFers read the same book..." club.

I just started The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which my SIL passed on to me at Christmas. It's very engaging with a different story. However, I do get a little tired of every novel (seemingly!) having to shift back and forth in time; it feels tedious to me.

Thanks Pat - I will look into that one - after not reading SK for a number of years I'm jumping in and reading some old (but new to me) as well as some new stuff. I never read Salem's Lot before, but I just finished it - I think it was his 2nd novel from 1975!!

I'm going to check out this trilogy!

Right now I'm reading:
Night Music by Jojo Moyes
Billy Summers by Stephen King
More Than a Woman by Caitlin Moran

I forgot to add my current read is Honey Roasted by Cleo Coyle - a "cozy" mystery series that features a coffee shop manager in NYC. It is an easy read - light - even though there is murder and mayhem!

Beth, I liked Elevation too - weird, yes in a Twilight Zone way. I also thought Gwendy felt like The Monkey's Paw.

A different style for SK - more weird fantasy than suspense or horror.
