Barbell question

I've been using an EZ-curl bar, but really want a straight barbell that is EASY AND QUICK to adjust. (Did PUB this morning, and had to pause every time Cathe adjusted weights.) We have a weight bench and the weight plates with the large holes (is that universal?), but I would consider going with the smaller holes if the barbell is better. Any suggestions?

I purchased mine from www.paragonsports.com. It was the Ivanko Aerobic Bar. I really like it. It uses plates with 1 1/8in diameter. It has a cushion over the bar. It is about the length of the original firm barbell. I ordered it on a Friday and got in on Monday.

I don't know if this helps or not because I just ordered this bar and I haven't gotten it yet. It looks great and is a good deal. I have one set but the bar weighs 25 lbs and there are times that is just too much. Plus, it's too long. This one was such a bargain that I couldn't pass it up. Shipping was only $4.95

Thanks! Angi, I think I might order 2 of those barbells - at $15, I don't think I could match it even if I shop all over town. That way I could have them preset to different weights and make fast changes.

Troy Lite System

Hi there!

I just had to let you know about the Troy Lite Barbell system which you can see at www.fitness1st.com . I just recently received this myself and I am totally in love with it! The plates are thin and compact, rubber coated. In great sizes for me 1.25/2.5/5/7.5/10. With a shorter 5lb one piece bar. The clips slip on & off easy and FAST too!

HTH!

To anyone interested in this: please consider using the Support VF link to go to Amazon, then copy and paste in the barbell link.
