Canadians ordering Cathe’s new dvds?

I was going to preorder Cathe’s new set until when placing the order, the site wants to charge me $30-something dollars for custom fees. I am not paying that even if Cathe has free shipping. Canadian customs would never charge that on $50.

Is there a way to avoid the custom charges when ordering from Cathe?

I am not Canadian, but I want to vent about the exorbitant shipping fees at Cathe's site. I pre-ordered the 4 downloads today and wanted to get the water bottle along with the carry case for $35.97. Shipping to Montana would have been $18.

No way am I paying $54 for a plastic water bottle! I ordered a similar one on Amazon with free shipping and payed $16.57.

Well I had to check after reading your post and using USPS Shipping for me was $12 and change. Maybe because of its large shape?

Also not Canadian, but I recall a discussion about the shipping costs to Canada on the previous releases. IIRC some Canadian VFers ordered just the downloads as a result of the cost to ship the DVDs.

I know, I'm from Ontario Canada and tried ordering too but the extra charges were ridiculous. I would have ordered but not for that much more.
