ideas for using iTunes gift card for a non-Apple person

i'm guessing we can order movies or something and watch them on our non-apple devices?

also guessing the same for music downloads?

You can definitely use it for music downloads; I've done that (before I had Apple devices). Probably movies as well.

iTunes has a player, so you should be able to buy or rent movies and tv shows and play them on your computer or tablet. Or maybe try rockplayer if on a tablet or phone.

You can also buy music without drm restrictions. (mp3) 1.29 vs 99 cents, but then you can play them on almost every device out there. You may have to copy and drop the songs.
