I have this portable hard drive that I store all of my downloads on:

http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Canvio...nal+hard+drive

Very compact and easy to travel with.

I noticed that some workout videos are for sale on youtube - usually for $1.99. Has anyone here purchased any of these?

I am wondering if I will be able to download my Youtube purchases and burn them to DVD, or if I can only use them streaming.

I have hesitated purchasing them because I don't want to have to play them on my laptop - I want to use my television to workout. I am also a little worried that they are a rental situation, even though it doesn't say that.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I download them to DVD, although I haven't purchased any so I don't know about that.

You can save an mp4 to a flash drive, and plug the flash drive into the new Rokus.

I just ordered one! Thanks. I will use it for my Yellowstone trip in a few weeks.

I don't like to stream thru Roku since it's still so slow. The fastest way for me is to download to my laptop then connect my laptop to the TV via HDMI cable.

I download (saved as .mp4), copy to a flash drive, and play to a media player (examples of media player: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...qid=1374253057).

I like watching on big screen as well and using a remote.

You can stream YouTube videos through Roku now via VideoBuzz. It's a little more involved that just adding a regular Roku channel, but I followed the directions posted on the Roku Guide blog (not affiliated with the company) and it worked fine. You can access your YouTube subscriptions and playlists, but not watch laters. It's a good option if you have an older Roku like mine without USB capability.
