I really like this series. No nonsense but you feel really good afterwards

I agree. I like the "clinical" cuing--it just puts me in the zone without any distractions. The savasanas are heavenly, and I like the flow of the poses. All in all, a great series for the price, IMO.

can one sew their own eye bag? this sounds really cool. quite often, i cup my hands over my eyes for total darkness, and it really eases the tension in my eyes since it doesn't need to focus or be in sync with one another.

but these eye bags sound like they'd do the same thing!

Hi Jeannine,

I'm sure you can but if I tried it would be the "Frankenstein" eye bag

Pretty much you want a very soft (silk like) material and you fill w/ flax seeds.

Take care,

Scott

I made an eye bag. As Scott said, though, mine too was kind of Frankenstein looking. It works though!
I just used a silky material, filled with flax seeds and a few drops of lavender oil.

Thanks everyone for the replies on Total Yoga, by the way!

lo and behold - i did a search and this book (see amazon link) has a pattern for making a silk eye bag using flax seeds and an essential oil of your choice (title: Handcrafted Pillows ~ and our library had a copy, which i promptly picked up last night):
link

note: table of contents calls it an "eye bag" and the index calls it an "eye compress". doing the search inside of the book does not show the eye back directions - just other directions for other pillows in the book.
