Ideas to heavy up sculpting stick?

I've been hanging on to my Firm sculpting stick but never use it. Has anyone invented a way to "heavy" it up? I was thinking somehow attach or wrap something around it to increase the weight, so I can use it as a barbell. I tried to fasten ankle weights on each end, but can't get them to stay in place. Any imaginative ideas out there?

That's what I have done for years-works great. And you can add quite a bit if you have 2 pound donuts.
