New humongous Manduka mat

I know some VFers like the giant round Mandala mats, so I thought I'd mention that Manduka has a new huge square mat. It's crazy expensive, but could be a good option for some people with flooring challenges.

Here it is: http://www.manduka.com/us/shop/categ...quared-mat/?HP

And yeah, that is Travis Eliot in the picture on the Manduka homepage; he seems to be a Manduka spokesman now.

Oh my gosh, I want it. Can't afford it and don't need it but I want it.

I love it - way out of my range, though. Adding to "if I win the Lottery" list.

Geez. I've been looking for a large square mat, but there's no way I'd pay that much for one!

I ordered it a few weeks ago. We were replacing our living room carpeting where I work out and wanted something besides an area rug to help protect the carpeting when I do more traveling workouts. For yoga, my longer Manduka Pro was still fine - or so I thought! I have been doing mostly yoga lately and LOVE the larger size. It was expensive but considering how well the older Pro mat has worn, I think I will have it for years. Also, it doesn't move around on the carpet like the old mat or rug did during workouts.

For storing, while it is a bit awkward to flip over, it rolls up nicely and stores on its end in our closet just off the living room.
