Leah Sarago has short segments on her streaming site that are beginning barre. I find them challenging even though they’re “beginner” and they’re broken into segments for abs, thighs, upper body.

I really like Suzanne Bowen's Flat Belly Barre. I've been doing it for a few months as a postpartum workout. It's a nice pace, nothing too crazy, but surprisingly effective. She has three levels for each exercise and I still get a nice workout from following the beginner or intermediate level (I hardly ever follow the advanced exerciser). It's kind of a sneaky workout, it looks easier than it is, and like a lot of things you get what you put into it. I've had nice slimming results (especially my thighs) just focusing on form.

Ditto on the Flat Belly Barre DVD from Suzanne. I like it very much.
Barre3's streaming stuff doesn't feel as much like barre to me - it certainly has barre elements, but it feels to me more like a fusion workout. Barre3's old DVDs felt more like traditional barre. Bar Method is also very good. Carol |
