Instructions for Deleting an Old Exchange Post and Editing your Thread Titles
Please delete your old Exchange list before posting a new one. Here's how:
To delete your old list, open up the old post and click on the Edit button in the lower right-hand corner. On the next screen, click on the "Delete" button that appears in the lower right-hand corner. Once you do this, a box with additional "Deletion Options" will appear below. Select the "Delete Message" option and then click on the "Delete this Message" button. (Note: The "Reason for Deletion" box is optional.) That's it! If you just have minor changes to make to your list, please consider editing versus re-posting it (remember, lists can only be posted once every 48 hours). If you are having difficulty locating your old list, try this: 1. Click on the "Search" button near the upper right corner of the screen, and then click on "Advanced Search". 2. To the right side of the screen under "Search by User Name," put in your user name. 3. Further down the screen also on the right side under "Search In Forum(s)," scroll down and choose "Exchange Listings". 4. Click on "Search Now" near the bottom of the screen. This will bring up everything you currently have posted under Exchange Listings. Another option is to sort the posts by "Thread Starter"--you will see the button to do this just under the "New Thread" button on the first page (top left) of the Exchange Listings. This will arrange the listings in alphabetical order by user, making it easier for you to find your name/old list. Thank you all for your understanding. Sincerely, The Exchange Moderators
